Who We Are
Leon Polott, Founder and Principal
He is a an entrepreneur, technology commercialization professional, corporate executive, experienced deal maker, and attorney.
Over ~25 years, Mr. Polott has served as Chief Executive in technology-driven startups and manufacturing enterprises, provided strategic guidance, directed commercialization efforts, provided project management, and negotiated transactions for ventures ranging from early-stage innovators to global enterprises.
Leon has extensive experience in domestic and international transactions and has led large and small fund raises.
He has negotiated over a $1 Billion in deals, transactions and financial commitments.
Mr. Polott’s professional engagements have included work with numerous large and small domestic and foreign enterprises, institutes, inventors, and government agencies, including: Allen Telecom, American Electric Power (AEP), Materion (Brush Wellman), Sherwin-Williams, Aelita Software, Jones Lang LaSalle, Ohio Department of Development, Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Nizhny Novgorod), U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation, U.S. Department of Energy, and many others.
Prior to commencing his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Polott practiced law with prominent law firms in Southern California (Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP) and Ohio (Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP). He represented U.S. and foreign clients in multi-million dollar negotiations and advised them with respect to commercialization of novel technologies, international business ventures, and market penetration strategies.
He was repeatedly elected to Chair the International section of the Cleveland Bar Association (1999 – 2001). The US Department of Commerce appointed Mr. Polott to the U.S. – Russia Council on High Technology Innovation (an entity organized at the direction of President Bush and President Putin) where he served as one of 5 US business representatives from 2005 to 2011.
Mr. Polott is a native of Moscow, USSR and speaks fluent Russian. He is a naturalized US citizen. Leon earned a BA with Honors in government from Oberlin College (1985), and his Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Texas School of Law (1988) where he was a member of the Texas International Law Journal.
